Where is Bryx located?
Bryx is proudly located in downtown Rochester, NY, where we have our manufacturing and support centers.
What kind of support does Bryx offer?
Bryx provides 24/7 support. The engineers who built the system are the same people who assist with technical difficulties and questions.
Does Bryx provide any training?
Our products are easy to learn and adopt. We are happy to provide training classes, as needed, for staff and staff trainers at no additional cost.
What kind of backup system does Bryx have?
Bryx utilizes geographically dispersed data centers across the world. If an entire data center is unavailable due to power loss or connectivity issues, traffic will automatically be routed to the nearest data center.
What kind of integrations with CAD are available?
Bryx integrates with all CADs. In all cases, we get data feeds from CAD in one of the following transports: HTTPS, SMTP (Email), File Write > HTTPS (via Bryx Dispatch Courier), and SNPP (Paging). Data sent between devices is encrypted using TLS 1.2 and is encrypted at rest using AES 256.
Does the Bryx platform work with both career and volunteer departments?
We believe that all first responders should have access to fast and reliable tools. That’s why our mobile app is completely free, and our station alerting system has flexible pricing options for career and volunteer departments of all sizes.
I forgot my password. What can I do?
In the Bryx 911 app and on the Bryx 911 website, Bryx Dispatch site, or Bryx Management site, click “Forgot Password,” and you’ll receive an email with a link to reset your password.
What types of alerts will I receive?
911 job alerts are sent directly from your agency’s CAD to mobile devices. Bryx 911 includes routing and navigation, site survey data, mapped hydrant locations, historical job information, supplemental updates, real-time messaging, and live location updates for users.
Can I add custom map layers to our Bryx account?
To add mapped hydrants to your Bryx account, email a digital/electronic version of your hydrants, with latitude and longitude, to firstname.lastname@example.org. Common file formats are CSV, Spreadsheet, Shape File, GEOJson.

Is Bryx Station warrantied?
Bryx Station includes an unlimited warranty for as long as a maintenance agreement is in place between Bryx and your department.
What information does the automated voice announce?
It announces all incident and dispatch data that is transmitted from the CAD (call type description, address location, commonplace name, rural directions, location comments, cross streets, map page, and units dispatched). It can announce the job data, in any order, with full customization of how it’s read out (version 3.6.8 or newer).
Who will the system alert?
The system is capable of automatically notifying units in the field as well as in the fire stations. The system can also notify multiple stations and units simultaneously.
How many monitors can Bryx support?
Bryx Station supports an unlimited amount of monitors.
What kind of monitor do you recommend?
We recommend commercial-grade NEC monitors that support the compute module.
What kind of cable will we need for the monitor?
If the monitor is running directly from the Bryx Station control unit, it will need an HDMI cable. If the monitor is running from a Compute Module/Industrial TV, it will need an Ethernet Cable.

How is Bryx Station Board different from Bryx Station?
Bryx Station Board is the display portion of the Bryx Station alerting system. For departments that aren’t seeking a full-featured station alerting system, this robust job board provides a real-time view of your department’s operations with rich information available at a glance.
How do I set up Bryx Station Board?
Once Bryx Station Board has been activated for your department, any Bryx manager can create a new board on the Bryx Management site. Just complete the initial configuration steps and click “Create.” The site will generate a unique link for your board which can be used on any computer; just open the link in a web browser to launch the board.
How many computers can I set up to display Bryx Station Board?
Bryx Station Board can run from a browser window on any number of computers at any number of locations.
Does Bryx Station Board ever need to be refreshed?
No, Bryx Station Board automatically updates whenever a configuration is changed from the Bryx Management site. If the same board is being used on multiple computers, all of these configurations will be updated automatically.
How can I adjust the map on Bryx Station Board?
To keep configurations in sync, all board updates are made on the Bryx Management site. You can select from different zoom levels in the board configurations.
